A Lifelong Connection to Nature

I am an enthusiastic lover of the great outdoors, reveling in the beauty of nature through walking, hiking, and cycling.
In 2020, during the covid pandemic, I embraced a new passion by purchasing my first camera, an adventure that helped me navigate the challenges of lockdown. Fortunate to reside on the cusp of the countryside, surrounded by woodlands, hills, and reservoir's, I began my photography journey here, self-teaching before discovering "The School of Photography".
Over eight months, I created a collection of the breathtaking views at sunrise and sunset at Gladhouse Reservior, ultimately culminating in my first book, a treasured memento of this transformative time.
Since then, I’ve expanded my creative horizons with three additional books.
My second book chronicles a five-day wild hiking expedition to Assynt in Sutherland, North West Scotland, inspired by a previous cycling journey that sparked a promise to return and immerse myself in its stunning landscapes.
The third book serves as a heartfelt tribute to a dear friend I lost while exploring the Lake District.
My latest project is a collaboration with the incredibly talented Lorraine Gilmour, whose poetic words beautifully complement a selection of my images, I called it a Creative Collaboration
Now, I feel incredibly fortunate to have retired early, allowing me to fully embrace nature, immersing myself in it with my campervan as I travel around Scotland and beyond.
Join me on this journey of exploration and discovery—let’s celebrate the wonders of the outdoors together.
